Microsoft bids Yahoo for 45B$ !!!

Microsoft has bid Yahoo for $44.6B which is 62% premium. Microsoft is offering $31 a share. Yahoo spokesman has said that the directors are considering the offer closely and would take a decision shortly.Yahoo was trading at $18 a share before the offer was made. It is trading at around $28 today. Microsoft CEo Steve Blamer has said that the deal would stand as a milestone in the history.Microsoft is gearing up for a tight competition with Google. yahoo has recently announced that it would fire 100 employees in the coming months.
